How do I create and submit a new work order?
A work order can be created when a maintenance issue, equipment fault, defect, or service request is identified.
To create a work order:
- Open the Work Orders section.
- Select Create Work Order or the + button.
- Choose the relevant location, facility area, or asset.
- Enter a clear title describing the issue.
- Add a detailed description, including the condition observed and any immediate action already taken.
- Select the appropriate priority or urgency level.
- Add photographs or supporting information where applicable.
- Review the information and select Submit.
When reporting an issue, provide enough information for the maintenance team to identify and locate the problem. For example, instead of entering “light broken,” enter “Ceiling light not working outside Meeting Room 3 on Level 2.”
After submission, the work order will be recorded in the system and assigned a work order reference number. You can use this reference number to track its progress.
